We are pleased to announce our anchor tenant: Syracuse Media Group will use 27,200 square feet of space on the 1st and 2nd floors of Merchants Commons. The company will move about 150 staff into the street level space in April following renovations. Merchants Commons will serve as Syracuse Media Group’s downtown Syracuse headquarters.

Please join us next month for a series of two open houses, offering tours of residential units at Merchants Commons – dates will be announced soon. We are now framing up the units and beginning to sign leases. We are willing to meet with you individually if you cannot attend either of these open houses.Please contact us for more information.

Check out our new residential leasing application, which allows you to select – and view floorplans for – your desired apartment within Merchants Commons. You can select floor and unit, and see where your apartment would be, along with a sketch of the floorplan. Pricing, square footage, number of baths, and number of bedroom options are also shown.

A common challenge for those seeking residential apartments in downtown Syracuse is parking – how to find a nearby, safe, affordable place to keep your car? Merchants Commons will offer parking places in the building itself, on the street-level floor and one floor below, for tenants. While we’re still working out the details, we expect to be able to offer parking for most (if not all) tenants.

Be sure to check out Merchants Commons at the upcoming Syracuse Downtown Living Tour on Saturday, May 19, 2012. The Downtown Committee of Syracuse will celebrate the sixth year of the Downtown Living Tour on Saturday, May 19 from noon to 6pm. The Downtown Living Tour has always been an effective event that markets the uniqueness and diversity of residential units in downtown. The Downtown Living Tour will feature residential spaces ranging from historic and adaptive reuse projects to downtown’s most upscale condominiums, as well as cultural venues linking downtown’s exciting present to its fascinating past.

Visitors will get a chance to see inside our building, hear about exciting upcoming developments, and learn more about residential and commercial opportunities in Merchants Commons.

Located on the roof of the Merchants Building, this 10,000 square-foot rooftop deck will be a welcome respite during the spring, summer and fall months. Use it for breaks, meetings or even as a cocktail reception venue.
